Dear! As you know in the Arabic Alphabet letters we have 28 letters. 14 are sun letters (you don't say the LAAM of the definition form: AL before). And 14 are moon letters (you say the LAAM). Example: the letter SEEN is one of the sun letters (الحروف الشمسية) So we don't say the LAAM of AL before it. Usually in Arabic we put SHADDA on top of the SEEN and all sun letters so we know that we have to skip the LAAM before, in reading. Al-Salamu is incorrect cause we should read it exactly as it is pronounced in Arabic. It should be As-Salamu alaikom. and so on. (note the - between AL and the word, also we doubled the letter SEEN, with no LAAM). We should say: In shaa Al-Lah. إنْ شاءَ الله Jazak Al-Lahu khairan (not khairun). جَزاكَ اللهُ خَيْراً Al-Hamdu lil-Lah (H ح is a moon letter حرف قمري) الحَمْدُ لله Subhan Al-Lah سُبْحانَ الله We write names in Arabic including AL like this: al-Qassimi القاسِمي at-Tabrizi التّبريزي Hope it helps!01/22/20
