An open box is to be made from a 26x26 square piece of material, by cutting equal squares from each corner and by turning up the sides. Find the dimensions of the box so that the volume of the box is to be 1200 cubic inches.

2h + w = 26 ----> w = 26 - 2h

L = w = 26 - 2 h

V = h L W = h (26-2h)² = 1200 in³

26² h - 52 h² + 4 h³ - 1200 = 0 = y(h)
