Agree. This can be proven if the right side of the equation is sin/(1-cos^2x)

They are not the same!
For x = pi,
sine is 0
cosine is -1
secant is -1
tangent is 0
The left side, secant / tangent is undefined while the right side is zero.
Their graphs are quite different.
