There are 3 equations that are inconsistent.

4 + x = 4*2x^4+x and 4*2x^4+x = 4*2x

4 + x = 8x^4 + x and 8x^4 + x = 8x

4 = 8x^4 and 8x^4 = 7x

Solving the first equation as is: 1/2 = x^4

(1/2)^(1/4) = x , which is approximately 0.8408964152537....

SOlving the second equation as is: 8x^3 = 7

x^3 = 7/8

x = (7/8)^(1/3) which is approximately 0.9564655913....

Setting them equal since they both equal 8x^4:

4 = 7x ---> x = 7/4 = 1.75 or 1 and 3/4
