Well, get (or make) some graph paper.
Pick an origin which is where the graph starts since it goes through (0,0).
Now pick some values for x and calculate √x; you will probably need about 5 points to get a good idea.
Plot the points on the graph paper and connect them with a more/less smooth curve.
The plot it with your graphing calculator to check your result.
