Hello Lily,
I have read (and it is commonly accepted) that antacids or calcium supplements and dairy products could reduce the absorption of iron; but there are no studies that prove this. Some antibiotics should not be taken with iron because the effectiveness of the antibiotics will be reduced (tetracyclines). Aspirin could lead to iron deficiency anemia if it produces gastrointestinal bleeding. Some antibiotics (cephalosporins) can lead to hemolytic anemia because out body reacts by destroying red blood cells (autoimmune mechanism).
So, what can lead to anemia? Antibiotics (Cephalosporins) and bleeding due to chronic gastritis (aspirin).
Now, if you have to answer this question for school, probably antacids is the best answer (even though science does not support this claim, it is commonly found in textbooks).
I would consult the professor for clarification.
Regards,
Juan
