Hello Zoan,
There are a couple ways that you can get to the slope intercept form. Since we are given a point and the slope, I am going to use the Point-Slope Form. You might recall that the point slope form is
y-y1= m(x-x1), where m=-2, x1=4, y1=3. So, all we have to do next is to plug in the values in to the equation and then solve for y.
y-y1= m(x-x1)
y-3= -2(x-4) Using the distributive property
y-3= -2x+ 8 Add 3 to both sides
+3 +3
y= -2x+ 11. This is the Slope-Intercept Form
