sum of momentums at the beginning = Sum of momentums at the end

m1v1_i+ m2v2_i=m1v1_f+m2v2_f, where m1=35 kg, m2= 22 kg, v1_i=2m/s, v1_f=0, V2_i=0

Once you find v2_f, you need to figure out the direction. If the 35 kg cart's direction is Northward, then the 22kg cart will also go northward.
