The rule is PEMDAS, its the order of which to do first in a equation. So Parentheses Exponent Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction If you use a different order then it most likely change your answer using 5+2x10 which i assume is the problem your asking for doing the wrong way, addition first then, it would be 5+2=7 7x10=70 while following the order, of PEMDAS 2x10=20 20+5=25 70 and 25 are very different from each other, one gives you the wrong answer02/21/19
