Great question! You are correct, they actually CAN be synthesized by the human body. However, our body is not able to synthesize them fast enough for our body to use them. Our body uses them much much faster than we can make them. - Like a furnace that is burning super hot, and you are trying to keep it running by using toothpicks. It will eventually go out.
That is why we need to consume them in our diet. Our natural synthesis might not meet our needs alone, but with additional supply through our food we can synthesize the amount we need in order to function optimally. This is like throwing logs into the furnace keeping the fire burning efficiently.
