This is a very simple problem with several approaches. Did you look at your trig identities ?
sec^2=tan^2+1 is one of them
sin^2+cos^2=1 is another and therefore sin^2=1-cos^2
Here's one approach...
tan^2+sin^2=sec^2-cos^2
tan^2+sin^2=tan^2+1-cos^2
tan^2+sin^2=tan^2 +sin^2 from above
