2*t^2 - t - 6 = 0

( 2t + 3)(t - 2 ) = 0

2t + 3 = 0 results in negative times

t-2 = 0 ---> t = 2

So at t=2 seconds, it travels 2*2^2 - 2 = 2*4 - 2 = 8 - 2 = 6
