Since i is a root, so is -i (assuming that the polynomial has real coefficients).
f(x) = (x - 3)(x - i)(x - (-i))
= (x - 3)(x - i)(x + i)
= (x - 3)(x2 + 1) = x3 - 3x2 + x - 3
