I think you just need to find ordered pairs, or points, for this equation.
If you substitute a value for x, you will then get a corresponding value of y.
For example, if x = 0, then y = -0 - 5 = -5. Thus, the point (0,-5) is on the line y = -x-5.
If x = 1, then y = -1-5 = -6. So,the point (1,-6) is also on the line.
