Hi Jenah,
Find the prime factorization of each denominator and the LCD will need to have all of them except for duplicates from other denominators.
Prime factorizations: 3=31 , 4=22 , and 9 = 32
In the LCD there needs to be two 3's and two 2's as factors,
so the result is 2*2*3*3 = 36.
Notice the factorization of 3 is duplicated in the factorization of 9,
so it is not repeated.
