Hi Maddie-
I can't say for sure, but I think the answer is something along the lines of, "Muscles get tired when the body has digested all the protein the person ate but is still trying to work that muscle." And/or when the supply of oxygen to the muscles (in the bloodstream) can't keep up with the demand.
I don't think the answer is a specific amount of time, but I'm not a scientist--maybe someone else can chime in here if there is some sort of formula for expressing it...
