If the perimeter (4s) must be > 64 inches  and < 120 inches, set up this inequality:

 

64 < 4s < 120

 

Now to isolate the variable s, divide EVERYTHING by 4

 

16 < s < 30

 

 

In interval notation this would be      (16, 30)
