Then the number can be expressed as 10x + y
We know that y = x + 1 and (10x+y) / (10y+x) = 5/6
Replacing y by x+1 in the second equation, we have: (11x+1) / (11x+10) = 5/6
So, 6(11x+1) = 5(11x+10)
66x + 6 = 55x + 50
11x = 44
x = 4 and y = x+1 = 5
The number is 45.
