1+a/2b for a=3 and b=5

Is it 1 + (a/2)b 

 

or 1 + a/(2b)  ????

 

I am assuming the latter...

 

1 + 3/(2*5) = 1 + 3/10 = 13/10 = 1.3

Otherwise it is...

 

1 + 5*3/2 = 1 + 15/2 = 17/2 = 8.5

 

See the difference???
