The volume of a cube is the side length cubed. V = s x s x s where s is the length of the side = s x s^2 = 6s^2 so s must be 6. The side length is 6 Therefore the surface area is 6 times the area of each side = 6 x 6^2 = 6 x 36 = 108 square units
