An aqueous solution absorbs 10% of incident light passed through it. Calculate the absorbance if the same solution is placed in a cell 5 times as thick?

Beer's Law states that the Absorbance (A) is (among other variables) dircetly proportional to the path length of the light (the thickness of the cell). So, if the cell is 5 times as thick then the absorbance would be 5 times greater (50%)
