Area equal Length times width. We have an area, so we can use a width to find the length:
180 / 2 = 90
180 / 3 = 60
180 / 4 = 45
.
.
.
180 / 12 = 15
I've given you a cutoff marker to help you narrow down your search if you want to do find the possibilities through division.
Another way is to break down 180 to all of its prime numbers and find all the different combinations you can make:
10 * 18
10 * 2 * 9
2 * 5 * 2 * 9
2 * 5 * 2 * 3 * 3
In order from least to greatest:
2 * 2 * 3 * 3 * 5
Examples of different factor combinations:
2 * (2 * 3 * 3 * 5) → 2 * 90 = 180
(2 * 2)(3 * 3 * 5) → 4 * 45 = 180
(2 * 3)(2 * 3 * 5) → 6 * 30 = 180
