There r a total of three rectangular boxes filled with jewelry. For all three boxes it weighs 11 lbs 4 oz. So how much would one box weigh?

Okay, assuming that each box weighs the same amount:

 

Let's call X the weight of each box.

Now, we need to convert  11 lbs 4 oz to ounces

11lb x 16oz/1lb = 176oz plus the original 4 oz you had = 180oz

 

Now 3 boxes weigh 180 oz altogether so

3X = 180

X = 60 oz

So each box weighs 60 oz or 3.75 lb or 3 lb  12oz
