Juan invests a total of $26,000 in two accounts paying 13% and 15% annual interest, respectively. How much was invested in each account if, after one year, the total interest was $3,710.00.?     ________ was invested at 13% and ________ was invested at 15%

Esmeralda, this is a simultaneous equation question.  I've written two solutions for you on two posted problems.  Use the same process:

1) define variables

2) write two equations

3) using the simpler equation, express one variable in terms of the other.

4) substitute into more complex equation

5) solve for one variable

6) using the value for the solved variable, solve for second variable using simpler equation.
