Then, the time it will take is 9.7L or 7.3(L+1)

9.7L = 7.3(L+1)

9.7L = 7.3L + 7.3

2.4L = 7.3

L = 3 1/24

Tess runs 3 1/24 laps and Greg runs 4 1/24 laps.

Multiply by the lap length to give distance run.  They meet 1/24 of the way into the lap.
