The sum of two numbers must me less than or equal to twelve and the larger number is always twice the smallution set for the smaller of the two numbers

Question

When is says the sum of two numbers x2 or 2x less than or equal to twelve( that special sign with the line under it).  which 2x<=12 but the larger number is always twice the number would have another 2x  or is it X^2.  I'm having issues with word problems and I must get this, my degree depends on it.

s + 2s ≤ 12
