One shopkeeper have 1000kg super. He sell some part of suger profit by 8% nd rest of sell profit by 14% now how many he sell suger nd get 18% profit?

X+Y = 1000

 

0.04X + 0.18Y = 0.14*1000

 

4X + 18Y = 14000

 

4X + 18(1000 - X) = 14000

 

4X + 18000 - 18x = 14000

 

-14x = 14000 - 18000

 

-14x = -4000

 

x = 4000/14 = 2000/7 = 285 and 5/7

 

y =  714 and 2/7
