A rhombus is a parallelogram, so its diagonals bisect each other. With this fact, you can look at the four small triangles formed by the diagonals and show that they're congruent by SSS. This also shows that the diagonals intersect at 90º.

They both intersect and bisect each other at 90º. For two segments to bisect each other at 90º, but not intersect at 90º makes no sense.
