Find the probability that when 2 dices are thrown,

(1)Product of the 2 values < 5

(2)Sum of the 2 values ≥ 10

(3)Difference of the 2 values ≥ 3

For a standard pair of dice, there are 6x6=36 possible outcomes.

             1*1=1

             1*2 =2

             1*3 = 3

             1*4 = 4

             2*1 = 2

             2*2 = 4

             3*1 =3

             4*1 = 4

             Prob(product<5) = 8/36 = 2/9 = 22.2% = 22 and 2/9 %

 

(2)    4+6=10

        5+5 = 10

        5+6=11

        6+4 = 10

        6+5=11

        6+6=12

 

      Prob( sum>=10) = 6/36 = 1/6 = 16.6% = 16 and 2/3 %

          4-1=3

          5-1=4

          5-2=3

          6-1=5

          6-2 =4

          6-3=3

 

      Prob(difference>=3) = 6/36 = 1/6 = 16.6% = 16 and 2/3 %
