You are in the process of planning a garden in your back yard. The garden will be rectangular in shape. Determine the best length and width (in feet) for your garden and determine how many feet of fencing you will need to enclose the garden. Use the formula
P = 2L + 2W.
P = 2L + 2W.

Well, how much fence do you have to work with?
Lets suppose you have 100 feet of fence.
100 = 2L + 2W = 2(L+w)
50 = L + w
So several possibilities are: 5 x 45, 10x 40, 30 x 20, and 15 x 35
The area you are allowed also is a factor, but that brings about other formulas
