if Courtney used 88 units of land in her garden, how many additional rose bushes did she plant?

Courtney would like to increase the number of rose bushes in her garden, which is divided into equal size units of land. There are 5 rose bushes already in her garden. Each rose bush will take up 44 units of land to make sure that they are not planted too closely.

Is this problem stated correctly?  If each rose bush requires 44 units of land, and there are 88 units of land, then there can be no more than 2 rose bushes.  This contradicts the statement that there are already 5 rose bushes.  Based on the information provided in the problem, there is no room for additional rose bushes, and she should get remove 3 that are already there.

Perhaps you meant to say that 5 rose bushes require 44 units of land, which I think is the way Andy interpreted the information?
