1) Either your rectangle perimeter adds up to 40 inches
OR
You do not have enough information.
Look at your problem again and check for Length and Width.
Perimeter = 2L + 2W
Look at your problem again and check for Length and Width.
Perimeter = 2L + 2W
For example if;
Length = 15
Width = 5
then
Perimeter = 2(15) + 2(5) = 30 + 10 = 40
