That depends on the number of tests (assuming the 88 is an average of all previous tests) that figure into the 88 average. If there were only one, your average would now be 83. If there were nine, your average would now be 87.
Of course, it is also possible that other assignments figure into the 88 average, but the general rule still applies. It all depends on the number of points previously earned relative to the number of points on the last test.
