Help plz - Word problem

Question

There are three children in a family. There ages add to 26. Let Mick's age be "x", John is half of Micks age and Pip is two thirds of Micks age. Find each Childs age

Let age of Mick be x

so age of John = x/2 and

Pip's age has to be (2/3)x.

 

Their sum x(1+1/2+2/3) = 26

 

Can you now solve this (hint: get a common denominator...)
