I'm confused on this one too, understand whole section except this question could use some help thanks!

An X-ray tube used for cancer therapy operates at 3.66 MV with a beam current of 23.6 mA striking a metal target. Calculate the power of this beam.

P = IV = (23.6 x 10^-3 A)(3.66 x 10⁶ V) = ? watts

 

By the way, an x-ray voltage of megavolts sounds very high.  Where did that number come from?  Megavolts put you in the gamma ray range.  X-ray beams are usually produced with thousands of volts and milliamps.
