You have 5.5 lbs of beef tenderlion at $19.99 lb. You have to feed 48 people. How many pounds do you need.  How much would 8oz be per person.

1 person: serving size 8 oz
# of people= 48
 
# of people x 8 oz= 384 oz needed
384 oz divided by 16oz= 24 lbs of tenderloin beef needed
price= $19.99lb x 24= $479.76 total
 
**I don't know if you mean 5.5lbs of beef tenderloin is $19.99, if so:
$19.99 divided by 5.5= $3.63 per pound
$3.63 x 24lbs= $87.12
