Shasha: I assume that the function is f( x) = x^2 + 3, and the domain of f is all real numbers. Note that f(x) is a parabola opening upwards with a bottom at (0, 3). The function takes all positive values including 3 at x = 0. Hence the range is [3, +infinity). Dr. G.
