Hello Mende,
So, let's think about this for a moment, shall we? You are given your two numbers with the following information "the first is 26 more than the second one" referring to the two numbers, right?
How about we do this?
Let the first be x + 26 since we do not know what the value of the second, right? Then, let x be the second number. How does that sound?
Therefore:
First number = x + 26
Second number = x
Together, when added, according to your problem they add up to 94, right? So:
x + 26 + x = 94
Simplify the equation now.
2x + 26 = 94 <------------Subtract 26 from both sides of the equation.
2x = 68 <------------Divide both sides by 2 leaving x to itself.

x = 34 <------------The value of the SECOND number.
x + 26
34 + 26
60 <-------------The value of the FIRST number.
Check our work always, right?
Do the two values add up to 90? Yes, they do. Is the value of the first number 26 more than the first? Yes.
Hope I have helped you and wish you a great day at school to finish your week. If you have any comments, or questions, please leave them in the comments section below.
