a rectangle has perimeter 70 cm and length 27 cm. What is it’s width?

The perimeter is twice the length plus twice the width.  In math, that's P = 2L + 2W.

 

P = 2L + 2W

70cm = 2(27cm) + 2 W

70 cm = 54 cm + 2W

16 cm = 2W

8cm = W
