Piecewise-defined function- Evaluate f (-2),f (0), and f (3)

F (x)={x-1 if -4≤ x≤ 1}
           {x+1if 1<x <3}

incorrect answer, BOBOSHARIF, because 3 is not in the stated domain of this piecewise function.
 
also incorrect answer given for f(-2); it should be -3.

Thank you Kenneth, I corrected. 
Yes, 3 does not belong to the domain, therefore f(3) can be "approximated" as a left limit.

No harm, Bobosharif--we all make mistakes. I find, often, that the leading minus signs get lost due to the tiny fond and my non-young eyes.
 
It is important that the use of limit not be brought into the discussion of this Algebra II topic, when it's just a matter of obeying the stated domain intervals for the various pieces of a function.
