the length of the rectangle is exceeded it breath by 5 cm if the length and breadth is increased by the 5 cm the area of the new rectangle will be 250 CM square more than the given rectangle find the length and the breadth of rectangle.

If length =x, then breadth=x+5, area = x(x+5)

Now we increase length and width by 5: length=x+5, breadth=x+10. Then area = (x+5)(x+10)

x(x+5)+250=(x+5)(x+10)

(x+5)(x-x+10)+250=0

-10(x+5)=-250

x+5=25

x=20.

So the length is 20, breadth is 25.
