In inches, the measure of the three sides of a right triangle are consecutive even integers. Find the length of each side.

There are "Pythagorean Triples" for right triangles that are very often used in homework and test problems because they make the work simpler.  One such triple is (3,4,5).   [note that 3² + 4² = 5²]

 

The "Consecutive even integers" are 6, 8, 10    [multiply (3,4,5) by 2 to make them all even]
