Since you have easy numbers to work with, I would convert the size of your room to dimensions of yards. Therefore: 

Since there are three feet to every yard, your room dimension is:

4 X 6 

The formula/equation to determine the area of your room in this problem (and all problems) is: 

A = L x W 

Therefore, 

Area = 4 x 6 

Area = 24 square yards 

Now multiply the value of 24 by 15 (the cost per square yard). 

The answer is $360.00
