I suggest the point-slope form:
y - y1 = m(x - x1)
m = [3 - (-6)] / (-2 - 1) = -3
Pick either point. Using the first one,
y1 = 3
x1 = -2
y - 3 = -3(x + 2)
You can change to standard form or slope-intercept form if you wish.
