How many pounds of candy that sells for $0.88 per lb must be mixed with candy that sells for $1.34 per lb to obtain 7 lb of a mixture that should sell for $0.93

i need help.

x = pounds of $0.88 candy
7 - x = pounds of $1.34 candy
 
($0.88)x + ($1.34)(7 - x) = ($0.93)(7)

Just solve for x.
 
0.88x + 1.34(7) - 1.34x = 0.93(7)
 
-0.46x = -2.87
 
x ≅ 6.239 lbs
