sin(x)=7root 2/10.
hence show that sin(x+pi/4) = 0.8

If x is in the second quadrant, then sin(x + π/4) = (√2/2)(sinx - cosx)
 
                                                                      = (√2/2)[7√2/10 - (-√2/10)] = 0.8

The previous comment should read as follows:
If x is in the second quadrant, then cosx = -√2/10,
 
so, sin(x+π/4) = (√2/2)(sinx + cosx) = (√2/2)[7√2/10 - √2/10] = 0.6
