Which relationship between x and y in the equation shows a proportional relationship?


y=1/2x

y=x/2+3

y=2x+6

y=12x

It has to pass through the origin, so when x = 0 then y = 0.

Only the last equation seem to fit that test.

Unless the first equation is actually (1/2)x and not 1/(2x), then it's a proportional relationship too. Otherwise, it's an inverse relationship.
