2C + 12T - 20C - 12T = 83 - 128

 

-18C = -45

 

C = 45/18 = 2.50

 

5(2.50) + 3T = 32

 

12.50 + 3t = 32

 

3t = 32 - 12.50

 

3t = 19.50

 

t = 6.50

 

CHECK:

 

2c + 12t = 2(2.50)+12(6.50) = 5 + 78 = 83
