first you need to know what L and W are. 

 

perminter = L + L + W + W = 2L + 2W = 28cm

 

 

L = 3W     

^substitute in perimenter equation

 

2L + 2W = 28cm

2(3W) + 2W = 28cm

6W + 2W = 28cm

8W = 28cm

W = 3.5 cm

 

L = 3W = 3(3.5cm) = 10.5cm

 

Now you can find area:

 

Area = W*L = 3.5cm*10.5cm
