I have a question about hypothesis testing with two population mean. I have two populations (GPA and expected salary). Also, my research question is: Are the students with high average GPA expected higher average salary. I want to know what is the null and alternative hypothesis for this question?

Hey Ramin! The null hypothesis is the opposite of your research/alternative hypothesis. Think about the research question you've included in your question, and your hypothesis. In this case, you are hypothesizing that there is a relationship between your two variables. Therefore, your null hypothesis would be the opposite of the alternative hypothesis (no relationship). All you have to do is apply this logic to your specific research question!
